ReplyDeleteAwesome compilation by the duo:Shuchi and Kishore. Just completed the small but many clued and daunting grid. Wish we had access to a more user-friendly facility that can be done online. I'd love to know the number of participants and the reach of this unique crossword in Hindi, which must find a place in the Books of Records. Were there any like this before?
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all the participants.
Shuchi, The clue for 8A seems to have been changed. I had earlier taken a printout of the pdf file which shows the clue as तरकारी से थोड़ा रस निकाल के काटने का ढंग (3), which seems better. Which clue is to be taken ? Please clarify.
ReplyDelete@Vinayak: I had missed editing 8A in the PDF when the puzzle was uploaded, fixed it a day after posting. We are accepting answers to either version of the clue.
ReplyDeleteKishore will be happy to know that you preferred the older 8A; I thought it had a flaw and so had revised it :-)
@Raju: Glad to hear you enjoyed the crossword. I guess it has a small reach as only a subset of CU readers know Hindi. You can help by spreading the word about it!
ReplyDeleteHappy holi to all readers of CU & to the creators of this wonderful puzzle..I do share the puzzle with many people here & all without exception have appreciated & taken to Cryptic Puzzles..one such person is our company's anointed poet who liked the puzzle so much that he composed two poems for the creators of the puzzle which I shall share later
ReplyDeleteuser-friendly facility that can be done online - Raju, if there was a way to embed a Hindi interactive grid into the blog, we would have done that. There is none in our knowledge.
ReplyDelete@vasant: Wonderful that you are sharing the joy of Hindi cryptics with your friends. Please convey our thanks for their appreciation. I look forward to reading the poem!
Here are the poems written by Sumitra Nandan Mishra, dedicated to the creators of this puzzle:
